Low 998 develops over the continent and moves northwest, lying over the Low countries at midday on Wednesday. Meanwhile high pressure in the Atlantic stretches north. This high 1026 continues to stretch north or northeast to the west of the British Isles, while low 1002 moves into the North Sea, lying over Dogger at midnight on Thursday. Low 1004 continues to move north or northwest during Thursday, lying over Forties at midnight Friday. Low 1010 then moves west or northwest and gradually begins to fill over Scotland during Friday. Meanwhile high 1028 moves northeast over Faeoes and the Norwegian Sea. Gales are not expected. Strong winds on Wednesday for Fisher, German Bight and Fair Isle. Strong winds at times on Thursday also for Viking, Forties, Cromarty, Forth, Tyne, Dogger and Humber, then easing on Friday
