Less than 100 days to go - are you ready?

Olympics starting line

With less than 100 days to go people around the world are turning their thoughts to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. Some are planning their trip to the games, some are organising street parties or planning to run 100 metres in less than 9.4 seconds and of course some are organising the event itself starting with the Olympic Torch Relay on 19 May. Whatever you're planning, the weather can have a huge impact and as the UK's national Met service we'll be there when it matters.

If you're planning your journey to an Olympic arena, we have bespoke forecasts on our events pages. If you are wondering whether to take a brolly, sun cream or suffer from hay fever our detailed forecasts based on 5,000 sites around the UK will make sure you are fully prepared.

If you're organising the event itself or part of an Olympic squad then of course you're already talking with us!

You can also find our detailed weather forecasts on our homepage, through our mobile apps, via social media or through our delivery partners at the  BBC and ITV.
