UK mapped climate averages

Select the information below to view UK maps of monthly, seasonal and annual averages. The analyses are based on 1 km grid-point data sets which are derived from station data covering the 30-year averaging periods, 1961–1990 and 1971–2000.

Rainfall maps include all precipitation (rainfall, snow and hail).

Many of the maps for the period 1971–2000 are included in the Met Office Book of the British Weather, published by David and Charles.
