Interested in sharing your weather observations?

The Weather Observations Website is being developed by the Met Office, in partnership with the Royal Meteorological Society and the Department for Education, for weather observers across the UK, which could include weather reports from you.

The purpose of the website is to provide a platform for the sharing of current weather observations. This will be regardless of where they come from, what detail of information or the frequency of reports.

WOW

Using a new site, called WOW — the Weather Observations Website, we are giving all of you the chance to send us observations of weather in your area, as they happen. These observations can be ones you’ve recorded on specially-designed digital, scientific or wireless weather stations or just by looking out of the window or sending in a photo.

It is hoped that the website will encourage further growth in the UK's amateur weather observing community, and help educate children about the weather and that this will become the UK's largest source of weather observations.

Who is involved in WOW?

WOW has been set up in partnership with the Royal Meteorological Society, the Department for Education and the Public Weather Service to help coordinate the growth of the amateur observing community in the UK.

How do I get involved?

You can view, Register and Login to the website by following the “Explore WOW” link on the “Invent” section of the website.
