NEC planning averages

Designed for users of the New Engineering Contract (NEC)

The NEC Planning Averages can be used when planning a project to identify potential downtime and therefore resources required to complete the project. Ideal to support quotations and tenders.

The NEC averages provide a summary of weather conditions based on the 1961-90 averages with 1 in 10-year return-period values calculated over this time period identifying set thresholds for planning purposes.

Standard elements:

  • Monthly rainfall totals
  • Days with more than 5mm rain
  • Days with air frost
  • Days with snow lying

Available for 250 towns and cities across the UK.
