Rescue and recovery operations are under way in many parts of central and southern Asia affected by the recent earthquake. At this point the weather can have a major impact on these activities. The Met Office Operations Centre has begun delivering a specific weather forecast for the affected area.
This forecast will be updated daily and should be used in conjunction with advice from other agencies and departments such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and relief agencies.
