Hurricane Wilma has crossed the Florida peninsula and is now in the Atlantic Ocean north east of West Palm Beach. After making landfall as a Category 3 hurricane with winds of 120 m.p.h., Wilma has now decreased in strength but winds remain very strong with very heavy rain falling in the storm's wake. The Met Office provides updated information on the hurricane to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), which is used to advise tourists and people who have friends and family in the area via the FCO web site.
