One of the UK's most well known weather presenters, Helen Young, is to present her very last television forecast tomorrow.
In 1993 Helen joined the BBC Weather Centre in London as the youngest TV forecaster in the team. For 12 years she has provided forecasts on a host of BBC television and radio channels. Her broadcasting role saw her become Head of the BBC Weather Centre team in 2000, the youngest person and first woman to do so, whilst also embarking on many other TV ventures. Helen has also written and acted as consultant for a range of children's books that relate to the weather. She will be leaving to dedicate more of her time to her young family. Helen said: "It's been an honour and privilege working for the Met Office and the BBC. From now on I'll be on the receiving end of the forecasts as a viewer and a listener myself".
