The official findings from an international conference on climate
change have been launched today.
The official publication builds on findings from the Avoiding
Dangerous Climate Change conference, held at the Met Office
last February, at the start of the UK's G8 Presidency.
 |
Included in the book are:
- a Met Office/University of Reading report on the melting
of the Greenland ice sheet
- an overview of dangerous climate change
- an assessment of the risk of the Gulf stream collapsing
In his foreword to the book, the Prime Minister Tony Blair
said: "This book will serve as more than a record of
another conference or event. It will provide an invaluable
resource for all people wishing to enhance global understanding
of the science of climate change and the need for humanity
to act to tackle the problem."
