25 August 2006 This Bank Holiday weekend the Met Office will be out and about at the Navy Days at Plymouth. Here, the weather looks like seeing a mixture of cloudy skies, sunny spells and there could be showers at any time. The weather is expected to be similar elsewhere in the south-west, but there are likely to be more showers along the northern coast. Elsewhere, at the Reading and Leeds Festivals and Notting Hill Carnival the weekend looks like being mainly dry with sunny spells and the small chance of a shower. However, there will be a cool and fresh feel to the weather on Bank Holiday Monday, with a period of rain clearing to the east. Temperatures throughout should be close to average.
