Siân reigns supreme... again!

Siân Lloyd has won the prestigious 2007 Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) award for the best TV weather presenter. The award recognises excellence in broadcast media.

Siân joined the ITV weather team in 1990 and after meteorological training at the Met Office was soon on the winning track – picking up the Presenter’s Prize at the International Weather Forecasters Festival in Paris in 1993.

Siân was thrilled to receive the award saying: "It’s an honour to have one’s work acknowledged by the broadcast industry and it rewards all the hard work of my wider team."

The Met Office provides a first-class forecast service to ITV National Weather and Met Office graphics and forecasts are also provided for ITV’s regional weather bulletins.

This is Siân’s second success in the award, having won in 2005 (after a previous nomination in 2004) and underlines ITV’s weather presenter as the industry’s favourite.

The nominees included last year’s winner, Met Office forecaster and BBC weather presenter Helen Willetts.
