Marathon weather

As the 27th London Marathon gets under way this coming Sunday, Met Office forecasters are predicting exceptionally warm conditions during the race, with highs of 23 °C expected.

Conditions will favour spectators rather than many of the runners, with plenty of sunshine, and temperatures well above average. Winds will be light - generally from a south-west direction.
