Further severe weather to come over the weekend

5 September 2008

Further heavy rain is expected to affect many parts of the British Isles throughout the weekend, falling on already saturated ground.

Heavy rain has already led to disruption across parts of south-west England and south Wales, and the Met Office will continue to work closely with the Environment Agency throughout the weekend to monitor the weather and flooding situation.

The latest weather forecasts and warnings are available on the Met Office website, along with advice on what to do in severe weather.

Information on the latest flooding situation can be found on the Environment Agency website.
