Image: Einstein Year logoThe Met Office is pleased to be supporting Einstein Year, in particular the 'Weather' theme which is launched during February 2005.

Einstein Year is the UK and Ireland's contribution to World Year of Physics and marks the centenary of the publication in 1905 of Einstein's three ground-breaking papers on special relativity, the photoelectric effect, and Brownian motion. which provided the foundation of modern physics.

The following pages provide a range of experiments, quizzes and information factsheets relating to weather, which aim to enthuse students of all ages. There is even a quiz which pupils can complete to win a prize.
