A FREE DVD for GCSE and A-Level studies of weather and climate

Image: Weatherbytes coverWeatherbytes is an exciting series of short films to support the teaching and learning of five key weather topics. The films are targeted at both teachers and students of Geography at GCSE and A-level.

Presented by television weather forecaster Martyn Davies, the films enhance classroom teaching of weather and climate by making extensive use of television weather graphics, animations and video footage.

The films can be used in the classroom to introduce a lesson or as a plenary at the end of a session. They can also be used as refresher materials by teachers to aid confidence when delivering lessons in meteorology.

Each film is approximately five minutes in length, topics covered are:

  • Weather fronts
  • Precipitation
  • Hurricanes
  • Air masses
  • Depressions

The DVD is available free of charge to UK residents (one copy per household), but only while stocks last.
