Off the back of reaching the Rugby World Cup final against New Zealand in October 2011, France finished fourth in the RBS 6 Nations in 2012. 

France's home fixture against Ireland was postponed last year 10 minutes before the game was due to start due to a frozen pitch. The sub-zero temperatures meant the pitch was unplayable as it was a danger to player safety and the game was postponed to later in the tournement.

France will be looking to return to winning form of the 2009/2010 series in 2013 and claim the RBS 6 Nations title. France have won the competition 16 times outright.

France begin their 2012/2013 campaign against Italy at the Stadio Olympico. Last year, France beat Italy 30-12 at the Stade de France.

France have two home fixtures at the Stade de France in 2013 against Wales and Scotland.
