The Big Lunch is a simple idea from the Eden Project. The aim of The Big Lunch is to encourage as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours in a simple act of community, friendship and fun.
It is the gift of an idea which enables people to get together in their local area and celebrate their community or use the event to raise money for a charity of their choice. Though a date is nominated every year, you can hold a Big Lunch whenever or wherever you like.
You can find out more here at The Big Lunch website and download a pack to help with your own celebrations.
