Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas market

Gingerbread biscuits at a Christmas market

Between 13 November and 22 December, Birmingham is transformed into a Christmas grotto as the Frankfurt Christmas market arrives in the city centre. Now in its 14th year, the market attracts thousands of visitors every year.

There are also a number of stalls selling traditional German winter food and drink, including:

  • Mulled Wine (gluhwein) and German beer
  • Grilled sausage
  • German spiced biscuits
  • Marzipan sweets
