BUPA Great South Run
The BUPA Great South Run is regarded as Europe's leading 10-mile road race and this year takes place on the 28 October.
More than 23,000 runners will be racing over a fast, flat course through Portsmouth, past some of Britain's great naval heritage, including HMS Victory and HMS Warrior.
As well as the 10-mile event on the Sunday, the city also hosts a five kilometre race on Saturday 27 October.
Runners will be hoping for cool, cloudy conditions with a slight breeze. Our portsmouth weather is the one to check for the conditions on race day.
