Lee Valley White Water Centre in Hertfordshire will host the canoe slalom events at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The events will run from the 29 July to 2 August.
Athletes will compete in one of four events:
Canoe slalom is a timed event modelled on ski slalom which takes place on fast flowing water over several runs. Athletes manoeuvre their kayak or canoe through coloured gates. The athletes receive a time penalty for each of the gates they touch. The fastest athlete at the end of the event will take Gold.

The Lee Valley White Water Centre was the first of the Olympic sites to be completed and opened to the public in the spring of 2011.
