Paralympic Games - Shooting

The Paralympic shooting events will take place at The Royal Artillery Barracks.

The Paralympic shooting events will take place in the historic setting of The Royal Artillery Barracks in custom built temporary shooting ranges.

The sport is open to all physical impairments and operates under two categories; wheelchair or standing.

Shooting at stationary targets from a distance of 10 m, 25 m and 50 m, 140 athletes will compete across the eight rifle and four pistol events.

Great Britain's Matthew Skelhorn beat the Beijing 2008 favourite Zhang Cuiping to Gold and is a firm favourite to repeat his success at this summer's London Games. He will be competing in three of the 12 medal events and is a particular favourite to win the men's 10 m air rifle standing event.
