Over 35,000 people will be descending on Ebrington Square in Londonderry over the weekend of 24-26 May for BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. For the first time, Radio 1's Big Weekend has been extended to three days for 2013.

Radio 1 will be welcoming some of the world's top artists to Londonderry to perform. Acts include: 

  • Biffy Clyro
  • Bruno Mars
  • Calvin Harris
  • Vampire Weekend
  • Bastille
  • Olly Murs
  • Two Door Cinema Club

The Big Weekend is returning to Northern Ireland after previously being held there in 2004, and this year's event has been planned to coincide with Londonderry being the UK City of Culture for 2013.

Last year's event was held in Hackney to tie-in with the Olympic celebrations, with performances across 6 stages. Headline acts included:

 At this year's Big Weekend in Londonderry, artists from all genres will be playing on one of the two stages:

  • Main Stage
  • In New Music We Trust Stage
