The 2012 PSP Southampton Boat Show is one of the world's largest boat shows with more than 2 km of pontoons, over 1,000 boats of different sizes and around 500 exhibitors.

The event includes all sorts of boats, from dinghies to multi-million pound yachts. For those who want to get out on the water, some of the highlights of the Southampton Boat Show include:

• The Marina - one of the world's largest purpose-built marinas, displaying hundreds of boats
• Lessons in how to be a skipper
• Ladies Day - 20 September
• The Boat Parade
• Scuba diving trips
• Sea Kitchen Theatre
• Team Racing

On the 20 - 21 September, spectators will also be able to see the Green Parrot boat which has been used by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and took part in the River Pageant earlier this year for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations.
