Olympic Torch Relay week two

The torch relay travels around the coast of Wales and visits Swansea.

By the end of week one, the Olympic torch will have made its way to Cardiff in Wales.

The torch then begins to make its way around the coast of Wales from day eight of the relay.

Week two will see the Olympic torch visit some of the largest towns and cities in Wales, including:

  • Cardiff
  • Swansea
  • Aberystwyth
  • Bangor

The torch will then head into the North West of England and visit Chester, Stoke-On-Trent and Bolton.  

8000 torch bearers will carry the Olympic Flame through communities across the country as it makes its way to the opening ceremony of the Games. A different city each night will host an Olympic Torch Relay celebration to mark the flame reaching their town or city.
