V Festival - Weston Park

The weather can have a big impact on summer festivals in the UK.

V Festival takes place on the 17-18 August at Weston Park in Staffordshire and V Festival - Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex.

Kings of Leon will headline Weston Park on the Saturday along with crowd favourites Stereophonics and Emeli Sandé. Beyoncé will headline and close the show on the Sunday, with The Script and Jessie J playing before hand.

Other acts on the bill over the weekend include:

  • Calvin Harris
  • Basement Jaxx
  • Rita Ora
  • Olly Murs

Both locations share the same line up for the weekend, bands play at one venue on the Saturday and then swap for the Sunday.

The festival began in 1996 after the lead singer of the band Pulp had the idea of playing two venues over a weekend. The festival then went from one band playing to a weekend in two locations with two stages and camping for the weekend. Hylands Park in Essex is the other V Festival site.

Festival-goers will be looking for a warm and dry weekend, with a gentle breeze.
