Yeovilton Air Day
Yeovilton Air Day, one of the largest one day events in the south west, will return this summer with an action-packed day out for all the family.
Few events can rival the intensity, drama and spectacle on offer at the Royal Navy's premier air show. Last year's show won Gold at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards for 'Event of the Year', and attracted over 30,000 visitors.
At this year's show, the thrilling five hour flying display will feature military and civilian display teams from the UK and abroad, including:
- RAF Red Arrows
- Royal Jordanian Falcons
- Swiss Air Force F/A18 Hornet
- Czech Air Force Gripen
The show will culminate with the world-renowned Commando Assault Finale.
As well as the flying display, there is plenty to see and do on the ground - so whether you're a wide-eyed first timer or a seasoned air show veteran, the experience should be incredible.

13 July - Will the sky be clear to watch the demonstrations at this year's Yeovilton Air Day? Check the forecast.
The theme for Yeovilton Air Day 2013 is teamwork, and visitors will see first hand the importance of teamwork both in the air and on the ground. The ground displays will showcase modern Royal Navy assets and equipment with interactive displays showing the qualities, skills and professionalism of Royal Navy personnel working as a team to provide Front Line support.
Throughout the day there will be plenty of entertainment on the ground for all the family including side shows, funfair, vintage, classic and military vehicles, service demonstrations, military bands, picnic areas, helicopter pleasure flights, simulator rides, trade stands and much, much more. The Royal Marines Band and the Yeovilton Military Wives Choir will also be making an appearance.
