Description

EN3_v2a_NoCWT_LevitusXBTMBTCorr is based on EN3_v2a. It has had the cold water tapering that is applied to some XBT corrections removed. Then, the corrections to XBT and MBT temperatures from Levitus et al. (2009) have been applied. Please note that the corrections are not defined for the full range of times covered by these files. For these dates the corrections are kept constant.

These files will be updated periodically with the most recent data, although not as frequently as for EN3_v2a. However, as the XBT bias corrections are not defined for the most recent years, the data should be used only with caution.

How to download

Use the links on the left to download the dataset a year at a time. Only profile data are available.

If you require the whole dataset one way to do this is to use wget. To do this download one of the files below (and edit it if not all files are required).
EN3_v2a_NoCWT_LevitusXBTMBTCorr_Profiles_download_list.txt

Assuming that you are in the directory into which the data are to be copied and that the downloaded file is also in that directory, the download can then be initiated by typing at the command line:
wget -i EN3_v2a_NoCWT_LevitusXBTMBTCorr_Profiles_download_list.txt

Note: the above method was written for Linux systems but should also be applicable to other operating systems with wget installed.
