Accessing
Transpose-AMIP II data
Transpose-AMIP II data is stored alongside CMIP5 data on the Earth System Grid (ESG) under the "TAMIP" Project. Anyone can browse the catalogue but to download the data you need to register. If you already have an ESG Federation account (e.g. you have already downloaded CMIP5 data), you do NOT need to re-register to access Transpose-AMIP II data. Information on how to register with the ESG Federation, browse the catalogue, and download data is given here. You can register with any of the primary ESG gateways. It is intended that all transpose-AMIP II data will be able to be accessed from any of the primary gateways. However, mapping occasionally breaks at present, so please check PCMDI, BADC and DKRZ separately for data. Acknowledgment As part of the 'terms of use' of the data, any paper using Transpose-AMIP II data should include the following acknowledgment: "We acknowledge the Working Group on Numerical Experiments (WGNE) and the Working Group on Coupled Modeling (WGCM) who are responsible for Transpose-AMIP II, and we thank the climate modeling groups (listed in Table xx of this paper) for producing and making available their model output. For Transpose-AMIP II the U.S. Department of Energy's Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison provides coordinating support and led development of software infrastructure in partnership with the Global Organization for Earth System Science Portals."
