Accessing Transpose-AMIP II data

Transpose-AMIP II data is stored alongside CMIP5 data on the Earth System Grid (ESG) under the "TAMIP" Project. Anyone can browse the catalogue but to download the data you need to register. If you already have an ESG Federation account (e.g. you have already downloaded CMIP5 data), you do NOT need to re-register to access Transpose-AMIP II data.

Information on how to register with the ESG Federation, browse the catalogue, and download data is given here.

You can register with any of the primary ESG gateways. It is intended that all transpose-AMIP II data will be able to be accessed from any of the primary gateways. However, mapping occasionally breaks at present, so please check PCMDI, BADC and DKRZ separately for data.

Acknowledgment

As part of the 'terms of use' of the data, any paper using Transpose-AMIP II data should include the following acknowledgment:

"
For their roles in producing, coordinating, and making available the Transpose-AMIP model output, we acknowledge the climate modeling groups (listed in Table XX of this paper), the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) and World Weather Research Programme (WWRP) Working Group's on Numerical Experiments (WGNE) and Coupled Modelling (WGCM), and the Global Organization for Earth System Science Portals (GO-ESSP)."
