Rhondda Cynon Taff teaching Local Health Board Annual Awards

Healthy Outlook® won the Innovations Award in the 'Chronic Conditions' category at the Rhondda Cynon Taff teaching Local Health Board (tLHB) Annual Awards.

This annual award ceremony is held by Rhondda Cynon Taff tLHB and its partners. Healthy Outlook® was nominated for the award by Rebecca Edwards, Service Development Manager at Rhondda Cynon Taff tLHB as an example of a good innovation.

Health Service Journal Awards 2007

Healthy Outlook® was a finalist in the Health Service Journal Awards 2007 for Improving Care with E-Technology. The awards saw a record number of entries in 2007.

IDC EMEA 2007 Award for ICT Innovation

Healthy Outlook® was awarded the IDC EMEA 2007 Award for ICT Innovation at the Information and Communication Technology Forum in Berlin. The award recognises organisations that have substantially improved competitiveness and business results by applying information and communication technology (ICT) to product and process innovation.

Medixine, an e-health solution provider who operate the call system for the Met Office, accepted the award on behalf of the Met Office.

Health and Social Care Awards 2006

The Met Office Health Forecasting team have won the Innovative Services Award for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Health Forecasting at the prestigious Health and Social Care Awards 2006. The award recognises an innovative, new or improved service that benefits the delivery of healthcare for patients, users and carers.

The Health and Social Care Awards are run in partnership between the Department of Health and the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement. They were set up to celebrate the immense pool of talent and initiative in health and social care and are the most important opportunity within the NHS and social care to identify, recognise and reward excellence in the provision of care at the frontline.
