Hosted by the Essex Civil Protection and Emergency Management (ECP&EM) team, the events have been arranged as a way to help people and the local community deal with the probability of bad weather ahead.

The events will be taking place at the High Chelmer Shopping Centre in Chelmsford City Centre on Wednesday 31 October and Thursday 01 November from 09:00 -17:30.

Councillor John Jowers, Cabinet Member of Communities and Planning said "This event is a great example of a number of vital services in Essex getting together to help our local community be prepared for the months ahead. I hope many people will take a look at the information available and start thinking about how they can be prepared and also help support others in our local community in the coming months."

Staff from a variety of services will be on hand during the day to give useful tips and advice on how you can keep safe and healthy during the winter including Essex County Council, the ECP&EM, Chelmsford City Council, Essex County Fire & Rescue Service, Essex Police the British Red Cross, and Tyre Safe.
