Our 24-hour offshore forecasts use graphics of expected coastal and offshore water conditions to provide digital weather maps.

Data include wind direction and speed on the Beaufort Scale, sea state, cloud cover and temperatures.

Areas have been chosen to satisfy most offshore passage needs, for example, the English Channel from Dover to the Isles of Scilly and Calais to Ushant, including the Channel islands.

To use Marinecall by phone or fax simply dial the number for your area and enter the four-digit location code when prompted. Using the four-digit code will take you straight to your forecast, significantly reducing the cost.

Forecasts include gale and strong wind warnings; the general situation; wind speed and direction, probability and strength of gusts, developing weather conditions, visibility and sea state.

Based upon calls from a BT landline (calls from mobiles may vary). Marinecall by telephone (09014/09064 calls) cost 60p per minute. Marinecall by fax (09060/090655 calls) cost £1 per minute. Marinecall by fax (09065 calls) cost £1.50 per minute.

Six-hour coastal location forecasts are updated four times daily. Five-day forecasts and all 48-hour forecasts are updated daily at 7 a.m. European sailing forecasts are updated twice a day.
