Detailed mountain weather forecast: Brecon Beacons

After a clear, dry night with just a few mist patches around dawn it will be a bright, sunny morning. However, cloud will steadily increase from the west making the sunshine more hazy for the afternoon. There is also the risk of few showers developing, these are more likely towards evening with a risk of these turning heavy and thundery.

Generally very good, but moderate or poor in any early mist patches. Showers may reduce visibility locally to moderate or poor. Very poor in hill fog.

Hill fog

Generally nil, but cloud may occasionally shroud the highest peaks in any heavy showers. Some patchy hill fog may affect western slopes above around 600m towards midnight.

Maximum winds above 400m

Westerly 15-20 mph.

Valleys Plus 14 Celsius rising to plus 26 Celsius.
800 m Plus 16 Celsius.
Freezing level Above the summits.

A cooler day with more cloud than recently, but there will still be some sunny spells, especially through the morning. During the afternoon there will be an increasing chance of showery outbreaks of rain spreading from the northwest, but the ranges may stay mostly dry until evening. Breezy northwesterlies.

Good or very good, becoming moderate in showery rain later. Very poor in hill fog.

Hill fog

Occasional patches around 600m at first, then becoming nil but cloud likely lowering again as rain arrives later.

Maximum winds above 400m

Northwesterly 25-30 mph.

Valleys Plus 13 Celsius rising to plus 22 Celsius.
800 m Plus 11 Celsius.
Freezing level Above the summits.

Rather cloudy with some showery outbreaks of rain initially bringing periods of hill fog, tending to become brighter towards midday but still with some showers, perhaps heavy. Brisk north or northeasterly winds with temperatures around average.

It should be a mostly dry day with more in the way of sunshine compared to Monday. There could be a few showers towards evening. Breezy with winds from the northwest, but feeling a little warmer than Monday.
