Freezing valley mist or fog may persist in places. Cold and dry, with sunny spells to start, perhaps becoming cloudier this afternoon, especially across the south and east of the Park. Only a slow thaw of residual lying snow, with most footpaths remaining icy.

Very poor in fog, poor in mist. Otherwise generally moderate or good becoming good or very good.

Hill fog

Valley fog may lift into broken hill fog in places, but generally no hill fog at first. Through today, mainly this afternoon and in the east and south, there is an increasing risk of broken to blanket hill fog arriving above 300 metres.

Maximum winds above 400m

East 10 to 15 mph.

Valleys Minus 5 rising to plus 2 Celsius.
600 m Minus 1 Celsius.
Freezing level Down to valley floors this morning. Temporarily lifting to 300m this afternoon.

Feeling very cold with a significant windchill due to the moderate southeasterly wind, and with icy conditions underfoot. Valley mist and freezing fog mostly, slowly clearing to leave a dry and largely sunny day.

Valley fog, lifting and breaking through the morning to leave no significant hill fog by midday.

Another cold and cloudy day, with hill fog and a chance of outbreaks of light sleet or snow. Remaining icy at all levels, with a moderate south or southwesterly wind bringing a significant wind chill.

Saturday

Cloudy with mainly light outbreaks of rain or sleet, with snow likely over the highest ground. Widespread hill fog. Light winds, but still feeling cold.
