Winds at all levels will be noticeably stronger, making it feeling considerably cooler than Thursday. Bright or sunny spells will be limited with generally large cloud amounts, giving some showers or longer spells of rain at times. Some of the showers and rain could be rather heavy at times.

Moderate or poor in showers and rain, and very poor in hill fog.

Hill fog

Broken hill fog above 600 metres in the morning, rising to around 700 metres by midday. Later in the afternoon the hill fog will lower, particularly in the west, to around 400 metres.

Maximum winds above 400m

Southwesterly 35-40mph with gusts 45-50mph.

Temperature

Valleys Plus 12 becoming Plus 16 Celsius.
700 m Plus 10 Celsius.
Freezing level Well above the highest summits.

Weather

Rather cloudy initially with some outbreaks of mainly light rain. Becoming drier and brighter through the morning with sunny spells developing by midday, though there is still the chance of a few showers in the afternoon, these possibly heavy at times. There will be a brisk westerly wind, gradually easing.

Visibility

Moderate in rain initially and very poor in hill fog. Becoming generally very good by midday.

Hill fog

Broken hill fog, particularly in the west, above around 400 metres to start. This lifting and breaking quickly through the morning to leave no significant hill fog by midday.

Maximum winds above 400m

Westerly 25-30mph.

Valleys Plus 10 becoming Plus 18 Celsius.
700 m Plus 10 Celsius.
Freezing level Well above the highest summits.

A mainly dry day with some sunny spells is expected, along with fresh westerly winds which will decrease in strength through the day. Freezing level well above the highest summits.

Monday

Rather cloudy with some outbreaks of mainly light rain for a time. Breezy, but wind not as strong as over the weekend. Freezing level well above the highest summits.

Tuesday

Becoming dry with some sunny spells, after initial cloud clear away to the east. Lighter winds than previous days. Feeling a little warmer. Freezing level well above the highest summits.
