A fairly miserable day is likely with some showery rain at times through much of the day, which may be heavy and persistent at times. Any dry or bright spells are likely to be short lived. Extensive hill fog can be expected on higher slopes.


Generally moderate to poor, perhaps briefly good should the rain at times, but very poor in hill fog.

Hill fog

Broken or blanket bases likely for much of the day above 400 metres, especially across more eastern slopes in the morning, perhaps lifting to 600 metres during the afternoon.

Southeasterly to southerly 20 to 25 mph, with gusts 35 mph.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain are expected to persit through much of daylight hours. The afternoon will become a little drier and brighter but rain is expected to continue at times. Strong winds for a time, possibly gale force on higher, exposed slopes, the winds easing towards evening.

Dry with light winds at first, but scattered showers are likely by the afternoon and winds freshening from the south later with cloud increasing from the west.
