Many places dry tonight. Showers developing Tuesday.

This Evening and Tonight:

For most tonight will be dry. There will be a good deal of cloud, thick enough to give the odd spot of drizzle in places. Turning rather misty across higher hills with a risk of fog at lower levels too. Minimum Temperature 4 °C.

Tuesday:

A cloudy start but becoming brighter through the course of the morning with one or two bright or sunny intervals developing. Risk of some afternoon showers, some of these heavy. Maximum Temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Unsettled with showers and some more prolonged periods of rain, but also some longer drier intervals too. Breezier than of late but temperatures well above average, particularly in sunny spells.

Turning unsettled this week, but staying warm for many.

This Evening and Tonight:

Remaining dry but turning chilly tonight with clear spells, particularly across western Scotland and parts of southern England and Wales. Elsewhere cloudier with some mist and fog, especially across the northeast. Thick cloud will arrive in the southwest by dawn.

Tuesday:

Becoming cloudier with showery outbreaks of rain spreading across many southern and central parts, perhaps turning heavy and thundery. Some sunshine too and feeling notably warmer in the east.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Turning more unsettled, particularly in the north and west with showers or longer spells of rain, interspersed with some warm sunshine. Breezier for most, particularly on Wednesday and Thursday.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 1 Apr 2017 to Monday 10 Apr 2017:

This weekend will start bright and breezy with showers, particularly on Saturday, these turning heavy and thundery in places. By Sunday it should turn drier for all, with some good spells of sunshine. Rain may spill into the southwest later in the day but for all the weekend will feel cooler than this week, with overnight frosts possible. By early next week, high pressure will begin to build in from the southwest bringing drier, brighter weather with some sunny spells, particularly in the southeast. Meanwhile the northwest is likely to remain unsettled with spells of rain or showers and strong winds at times, but there will be some drier interludes too. Feeling warm in any spring sunshine, particularly in the south and east.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 11 Apr 2017 to Tuesday 25 Apr 2017:

Much of this period will see a good deal of settled and dry weather across the UK. We are however likely to see unsettled conditions with cloud, rain and strong winds particularly affecting the far north and west of the UK at times. Such unsettled spells of weather are expected to be short-lived though. Temperatures are likely to be warmer than average, but with rather chilly nights at times, leading to frost and fog in places. Any colder spells are likely to be short-lived too, although there some hints that these may become more prevalent later in the month.
