Cloudy with rain at times, heavy later.

This Evening and Tonight:

Cloudy, with outbreaks of rain. There will also be some drier spells until later in the night when an area of persistent heavy rain will spread northwards across the region. A stiff easterly breeze will develop, especially near the coast. Minimum Temperature 8 °C.

Wednesday:

Feeling cool as windy conditions develop through the day, especially along the coast and over hills. It will remain cloudy with persistent and often heavy rain, especially over higher ground. Maximum Temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Wet, cool and initially windy for Thursday. Friday a brisk northerly wind will push the early rain away southwards, with sunny spells developing. Saturday dry and fine then rain later.

Rain for much of England and Wales overnight, with heavier bursts, particularly across central and southeastern counties. Warm and muggy here, but elsewhere, rain gradually creeping towards Northern Ireland, whilst patchy rain and drizzle persisting over Scotland.

Wednesday:

Mostly dry in Scotland with sunny spells. Rain, sometimes heavy, elsewhere gradually inching northwards. Some brighter spells likely in the south later, with the risk of heavy, perhaps thundery showers.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Further rain and showers likely on Thursday and Friday and it will feel rather cool with strengthening winds in the north and west. However, drier for many on Saturday.

UK Outlook for Sunday 2 Jul 2017 to Tuesday 11 Jul 2017:

Changeable on Sunday, with cloud and outbreaks of rain, along with heavy showers in the north. Breezy too, but there will be also some sunshine. More settled on Monday, with any showers confined to the far north. Changeable conditions will return thereafter, with showers or longer spells of rain, though there will be some drier and brighter spells too, most likely in the south and east. However, even here there is a risk of thunder at times. Showers are likely to be heavier in the northwest, perhaps turning thundery at times. Sometimes windy, especially in the north and west with the risk of local gales here. Temperatures are expected to stay near the seasonal average, occasionally warm in the east, but locally rather cool in the west.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 12 Jul 2017 to Wednesday 26 Jul 2017:

The changeable weather is likely to continue in the north at first, bringing further showers or longer spells of rain, especially in the north, with only brief bright or sunny spells in between, with these most likely in the south. However, drier and warmer spells are likely to become more prevalent in the south and these may spread further north as we head into the second half of July.
