Regional forecast for Central Tayside & Fife

Sunny intervals for most. Showers mainly in the west. Breezy.

Today:

A mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers for most. Western Perthshire and Stirlingshire staying cloudier with more frequent showers until early afternoon before brightening up. Fresh westerly winds, but lighter than on Saturday. Maximum Temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

A bright evening with any showers dying away as winds ease down. A dry night to follow with clear spells. Minimum Temperature 8 °C.

Monday:

Mainly dry and bright with light winds. Cloud will bubble up inland with a chance of the odd shower developing. More persistent rain will spread north through the evening. Maximum Temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Rain spreads north across all parts on Tuesday with brisk easterly winds. Dry for most of Wednesday but rain may spread up from the south on Thursday.

A rather cloudy morning across southern areas with patchy rain, especially across western hills, but this clearing to sunny intervals and showers. Sunshine and scattered showers elsewhere and rather windy across northern areas, with gales in the far northeast easing.

Tonight:

Clear spells for many after showers in the south clear. Showers continuing across exposed northern areas with cloud and rain reaching southern parts of Northern Ireland later. Chilly for some.

Monday:

After a fine start for many, cloud will build from the west with rain, locally heavy, across Northern Ireland, reaching other western areas later. Breezy in the far northeast.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Unsettled throughout with showers or longer spells of rain that will turn heavy at times. There will be some brighter spells and feeling warmer in any sunshine.

UK Outlook for Friday 30 Jun 2017 to Sunday 9 Jul 2017:

Friday is likely to become breezy and showery across the country. Saturday could well be drier for a time before further rain moves in during the evening or overnight. Sunday and the following week will stay changeable with showers or longer spells of rain. There will also be some drier and brighter spells, which will be most likely in the south and east. In the northwest, showers are likely to be heavier, perhaps bringing a risk of thunder at times. It will sometimes be windy, especially in the north and west where there will be a risk of local gales at times. Temperatures are expected to stay near the seasonal average throughout, or be rather cool.

UK Outlook for Monday 10 Jul 2017 to Monday 24 Jul 2017:

The changeable weather is likely to continue in the north at first, bringing further showers or longer spells of rain with only brief bright or sunny spells in between. However, drier and warmer spells are likely to become more prevalent in the south and these may spread further north as we head into the second half of the month. These would bring more in the way of sunshine and higher temperatures, and there could be some very warm spells. However, an increase in temperatures would pose the threat of some thundery showers.
