Cloudy, damp start, then mainly day with sunny spells developing.

Today:

Cloudy start with a little light rain soon dying out. Then mainly dry and becoming brighter. Best of sunshine this afternoon over north Aberdeenshire and the Moray coast. Feeling much warmer than the past two days. Showers developing this evening. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain. Much of the rain over south Aberdeenshire with some drier interludes further north. A mild night with mist and fog patches along Aberdeenshire coast. Minimum Temperature 8 °C.

Friday:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, mainly over Moray and west Aberdeenshire during the morning, extending to all parts in afternoon. Drier, brighter, breezy weather following during evening. Maximum Temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Sunshine and scattered showers on Saturday, some heavy and thundery. Dry and bright on Sunday with sunny spells. Dry, bright start to Monday, then some rain and stronger winds later.

A mild, cloudy start with outbreaks of rain and a brisk breeze in many northern and western parts. Increasing amounts of sunshine, though often hazy, in south-east England and eastern Scotland, where it will be very warm later.

Tonight:

Another mild, frost free night, with further outbreaks of rain in many northern and western parts which will turn heavy at times. Clear spells for parts of the south-east.

Friday:

Heavy, steady rain across Northern Ireland and western Scotland through the morning. A mostly dry, cloudy start elsewhere. Then sunny spells with showers in the west. Less warm than Thursday.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Saturday cooler with sunshine and showers, and a risk of frost overnight. Sunday fine and dry, feeling warm in sunny spells. Monday breezy with rain in the north and west.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Monday 3 Apr 2017 to Wednesday 12 Apr 2017:

Monday is likely to be cloudy with bands of rain and strong winds in the north-west. These may well spread into central areas later in the day. However, the south-eastern half of the UK will probably stay dry all day with sunny spells. Temperatures will stay above normal everywhere and it is likely to be warm in the east. By midweek, high pressure will become more dominant and the dry, bright weather will spread to the whole country for a few days. Winds will be light nearly everywhere. The best of the sunshine and the warmest temperatures will be in the south, with more cloud in the north. More changeable weather will probably become established by the start of the following week, especially in the north-west.

UK Outlook for Thursday 13 Apr 2017 to Thursday 27 Apr 2017:

The middle of April may see more unsettled conditions for a while with short periods of cloud, rain and strong winds particularly affecting the north and west of the UK. Dry and calm conditions are more likely to dominate, especially in the south and later in the month. Temperatures are expected to be warmer than average, but with rather chilly nights at times, leading to frost in a few places. Any colder spells are likely to be short-lived too, although there are some hints that these may become more prevalent later in the month.
