Regional forecast for Central Tayside & Fife

Dry and bright with some sunshine.

Today:

Most places will have a dry day with some sunshine. Becoming quite warm over Fife and Angus this afternoon. Rather cloudy in the west this evening with a few spots of light rain. Light westerly winds. Maximum Temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Most places will be dry. Thicker cloud over Stirlingshire and west Perthshire may give a little drizzle. Clear periods over Fife and Angus. Very mild everywhere with light winds. Minimum Temperature 9 °C.

Wednesday:

Any drizzle in west at first soon dying out. Then a dry, bright, warm day everywhere with the best of the sunshine and highest temperatures in the east. Light winds. Maximum Temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

High pressure will maintain dry, settled conditions with plenty of sunshine. Becoming very warm inland but onshore breezes keeping coastal areas cooler. Showery rain may develop on Saturday.

Largely dry today with some warm sunny spells for most. However, skies will be cloudier in the southwest with mist and fog over hills and along some coasts. Outbreaks of rain in the far northwest at times.

Tonight:

Staying generally dry overnight, apart from patchy rain in the northwest. Skies turning cloudier across western parts with widespread hill fog.

Wednesday:

Patchy rain in the far northwest will gradually ease through the day. Dry elsewhere with patchy cloud and sunny spells, but coastal fog persisting along some southern coasts.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Dry at first with increasing amounts of sunshine, and becoming very warm or hot for many. However, an increasing chance of thundery showers moving into western areas on Saturday.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 27 May 2017 to Monday 5 Jun 2017:

The sunny and very warm or hot conditions are likely to hold on in many eastern and south-eastern parts during the Bank Holiday weekend. However, we will already begin to see a thundery breakdown pushing in across northern and western parts during Saturday. Perhaps turning fresher, with drier and brighter weather moving into western parts on Sunday and Monday. A brief settled spell of weather is likely to follow, before we see unsettled conditions developing into the first week of June, with a mixture of sunshine and showers or longer spells of rain with strong winds, mainly in the north and west. Temperatures generally returning closer to normal, although in any sunshine it will become rather warm at times.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 6 Jun 2017 to Tuesday 20 Jun 2017:

Confidence in the forecast remains low into early June, but on balance the first full week of June looks set to remain unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain, interspersed with some drier and brighter weather. By the middle of June, more settled weather may begin to dominate bringing drier and brighter weather. Temperatures are likely to be close to normal during the start of this period, but as more settled weather arrives it is likely that it will turn warmer and may become very warm in places.
