Rain will then return in the evening, with showers turning wintry over the higher summits for a time. Remaining windy, with gales in exposure. Freezing level about 800m during daylight hours, otherwise above the summits.
After a showery start to the day, a clear period with good sunny spells should emerge during the daytime. However a band of rain will move in from the west in the late afternoon, which may be heavy at times. It will be windy also, with gales over exposed ridges and summits. Freezing level around 800m, falling to around 400m towards midnight.
A mild day, with a mixture of sunny spells and wintry showers at first. The showers will ease towards midday to give some good sunny periods before a band of widespread and persistent rain moves in from the west in the evening. Winds will begin to ease relative to the previous days. Freezing level around 400m, rising above the summits later.
