A dry start with some sunshine, cloud amounts increasing with showers developing from the late morning onwards. A few heavy showers are likely with a risk of hail and lightning. There is also a chance of some sleet over higher ground, with snow above 500 metres. Windy with northwesterly winds strengthening and may reach gale force over the summits later in the day.

Generally good or very good with temporary falls to moderate or poor in showers.

Mainly nil but ragged patches may form above 600m in heavy showers.
