Winds easing. Cold overnight with isolated wintry showers in west.
This Evening and Tonight:
Much colder than recent nights, with winds moderating to allow a widespread sharp frost. Largely clear in the east, however some wintry showers are possible towards the Peak District, leaving a risk of icy roads. Risk of coastal flooding. Minimum Temperature -2 C.
Winds continuing to ease. Eastern parts starting frosty but fine, while wintry showers in western areas should ease. Generally cloudier but milder later, with patchy rain and, briefly, hill snow. Maximum Temperature 4 C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Much less cold and windy through this period, with overnight frosts more limited. Rather cloudy at times, although it should stay mostly dry with some sunny spells still possible.
