A spell of rain, but drier and brighter in afternoon
A bright start, but rain soon spreading from southwest, perhaps heavy in places. Rain clearing Orkney by lunchtime and Shetland before dusk, then drier and brighter, with the odd sunny spell developing before dusk. Southwesterly winds becoming strong. Maximum Temperature 11 C.
A mainly dry night with some clear spells, but strong south or southwest winds and staying mild. Some rain over Orkney later in the night Minimum Temperature 8 C.
A little rain at first and rather cloudy but a generally dry, mild and quite bright day with some sunny spells in the afternoon. South or southwesterly winds staying strong. Maximum Temperature 11 C.

Mostly cloudy with some rain on Wednesday, mainly over Shetland. Mainly dry with bright or sunny intervals on Thursday and Friday. Staying mild with mostly strong south or southwest winds.
