Today:

Rather cloudy at times with scattered showers across Argyll, these falling as snow on the higher hills. Mainly dry around Glasgow, Ayrshire and Lanarkshire with some brighter spells. Cold, blustery northwesterly winds, occasionally touching gale force across exposed western coasts. Maximum Temperature 11 C.

Tonight:

Showers across Argyll dying out to leave many parts with a dry night and a few clear periods. Patchy rain possible across Lanarkshire later in the night. Brisk northwesterly wind. Minimum Temperature 4 C.

Friday:

Early rain across Lanarkshire soon dying out then dry with increasing amounts of sunshine by afternoon, especially across Ayrshire and Argyll. Brisk northeasterly winds across the south. Maximum Temperature 13 C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

After a chilly start Saturday will be dry with plenty of sunshine. Dry on Sunday with some sunshine. Cloud and rain extending east on Monday, wettest in the west. Milder.
