Satellite images provide customers with a visual representation of actual cloud formations over a large area. These are higher definition than infrared images, as they are taken from polar-orbiting satellites, which orbit closer to the Earth. Because they detect radiation from the visible spectrum, no night time pictures are available!

Format

The images are provided in JPEG format, for 12 UTC. See the sample file LVHH15_1200.JPG.

Pricing

The European visible satellite product is priced at £2,965 + VAT per annum, assuming a one-year contract. The price is purely for the service detailed and does not include technical support.
