This Evening and Tonight:

Largely dry overnight with clear spells and turning chilly, particularly in rural spots. Some showers continuing in northern Scotland through the night. Meanwhile, cloud and outbreaks of patchy light rain and drizzle may reach the far southwest by dawn.

Sunday:

Cloud, rain and drizzle spreading across southern and western parts of Britain, locally heavy bursts possible. Dry elsewhere with some pleasantly warm sunshine, but turning increasingly cloudy later.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Outbreaks of rain in the northwest, some heavy with thundery downpours possible. Becoming largely dry, very warm and feeling humid in the south, with increasing amounts of sunshine.

UK Outlook for Thursday 24 Aug 2017 to Saturday 2 Sep 2017:

Thursday and Friday will stay rather changeable, with showers or longer spells of rain, particularly in the northwest, with much of the south staying largely dry with some sunny spells. Temperatures will be around normal, but perhaps still warm in the southeast, with a chance of some thundery showers. Into the weekend, probably staying unsettled, with further spells of rain or showers, particularly in the north and west, but perhaps more settled in the south and east. Windy at times, especially in the north, with risk of gales. Into the following week and early September, there remains a lot of uncertainty, although we may continue to see spells of wet and windy weather, particularly in the northwest, with some drier spells in the south. Temperatures will probably be near normal.

UK Outlook for Sunday 3 Sep 2017 to Sunday 17 Sep 2017:

As we head into September, we are most likely to see changeable weather conditions dominating across the United Kingdom. However, there is a chance of some more prolonged dry and fine weather at times too. As a result, on balance there are likely to be spells of rain and strong winds at times, especially across the north and west, probably interspersed with several days of brighter and showery weather. Temperatures may become warm or very warm at times, especially in the south. However, they will probably remain generally close to normal for the time of year elsewhere.
