Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Monday 28 Aug 2017 to Wednesday 6 Sep 2017:

On Monday, a band of thick cloud some outbreaks of rain and strong winds are likely to spread eastwards across the country. The rain will be heaviest in the NW and it may remain dry and warm in the southeast, although there is a small risk of one or two thundery showers continuing. Into next week, we are likely to see unsettled conditions, with spells of wet and windy weather, particularly in the northwest. It will be drier in general across the southeast, although there is a risk of some thundery showers here at times. There may be a longer spell of more settled weather in early September. Temperatures will probably be near normal, though perhaps warm at times in the south.

UK Outlook for Thursday 7 Sep 2017 to Thursday 21 Sep 2017:

During this period, we are most likely to see changeable weather conditions featuring across the United Kingdom. However, there will be some dry and fine weather at times too. On balance spells of rain and strong winds are likely to dominate in the north and west, with drier and brighter weather more common in the south and east. Temperatures will probably remain close to normal for the time of year in most parts, though they may become warm or very warm at times in the south which may generate some thunderstorms.
