UK forecast for the next 5 days

Very windy, with sunshine and showers, wintry in the north.

Today:

Windy, with gales in places, severe for northwestern coasts. Chilly, with sunny intervals and scattered showers, with hail, sleet and snow at times in the north, although any accumulations limited to hills. Best of the sunshine in the southeast.

Tonight:

Winds only gradually easing overnight, with further gales possible in places. Showers continuing, wintry in the north, with the best of the dry and clear spells in the east.

Wednesday:

Another showery day, with winds continuing to gradually ease. However sunny spells will become restricted to the north and east during the afternoon, as cloud thickens from the southwest.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Sunday 5 Apr 2015 to Tuesday 14 Apr 2015:

There will probably be a fair amount of cloud during the Easter period, however there will more than likely be a good deal of dry weather with some sunny spells, particularly over south and southwestern parts, and winds should be light. Some northern and eastern parts may be affected by isolated showers though, especially on Easter Monday. High pressure is then likely to remain dominant through to the middle of the month with a good deal of dry weather with some sunny spells likely, and with temperatures probably around average, perhaps just above during the daytime. However, northern and northwestern parts could see some rain at times with some windier periods too, although any rain should weaken as it edges southwards into other parts.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 15 Apr 2015 to Wednesday 29 Apr 2015:

From the middle of April it is probable that the high pressure will ease away, allowing a more westerly flow with conditions more typical for the time of year. As such some spells of fine, dry weather are likely, the best of these probably over southeastern parts. Occasional bouts of more unsettled weather with colder showery conditions should also be expected, more especially across northwestern parts. Temperatures are likely to be around normal for the time of year with marked differences from day to day, and with localised frost still possible.
