UK forecast for the next 5 days

Headline:

Dry overnight, rain edging in from the southwest tomorrow.

This Evening and Tonight:

A mostly dry night with some clear spells. The south-easterly winds will increase overnight and most places will be milder than last night. Outbreaks of rain are likely in the far southwest by morning.

Sunday:

Windy for all tomorrow. The rain in the southwest will gradually spread into Wales and southern England, but staying dry with sunny spells for central, northern and eastern areas.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Bank Holiday Monday will be unsettled for some southern areas, with heavy showers. Scotland and Northern Ireland likely staying dry with sunshine. Tuesday and Wednesday will be drier and brighter.

Updated: 15:35 on Sat 29 Apr 2017 BST

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Thursday 4 May 2017 to Saturday 13 May 2017:

It will be largely fine and dry on Thursday and Friday, with bright or sunny spells likely. A few light showers are possible in the south with temperatures near average, but feeling cooler along the east coast. Then from next weekend onwards we are likely to see high pressure dominate. Easterly winds will develop, with largely dry and settled weather prevailing, and increasing amounts of sunshine. The settled weather is also likely to bring rather warm temperatures, especially during the sunnier interludes. It will feel cooler along eastern coasts however, and there will be the risk of sea fog at times here too. Some isolated showers may also be possible, mainly along the east coast. More unsettled showery conditions are also possible across the southwest later, for a time.

UK Outlook for Sunday 14 May 2017 to Sunday 28 May 2017:

Heading into the middle of May, continued dry and settled weather remains most probable. There may however be some occasional wetter interludes though, with the south most likely to see these. Temperatures are likely to remain above average for the time of year, and they will possibly become very warm at times. It will also likely continue to be drier than average.
